I really wanted to decorate the house for Valentine’s Day this year. I had fun crafts in mind, we were going to hang heart banners…but, alas, flu and RSV hit our house. Bad. We were knocked out for two weeks. Needless to say, no decorating happened.
Now that we’ve recovered though, I still wanted to do a little craft with Donut. And, as usual, I planned it last minute. I still think it came out really cute though.
Here’s what you’ll need (affiliate links):
Bend your pipe cleaner into a “V” shape. String beads onto the pipe cleaner. This is a great motor activity for the little ones.
After you’ve added the beads, bend the pipe cleaner into a heart shape and twist the ends together to form a heart. I punched a small hole in the printable and tied it onto the heart with embroidery thread. I then took the ribbon and tied the hearts together, adding a bigger ribbon up on top. Done!
And if you’d like the heart and Bible verse I used, here is a download for you to cut out. I laminated the hearts but you can just use heavy cardstock too.
