Welcome to Life’s Lessons with my fantastic host Sara and me. We’re glad to have you all here. And by all I mean the 1 or 2 of you who link up. C’mon folks–this is the coolest link-up evah, so join in! Just grab the button, link up your post and read what others have to say.
1. Sooooo, yes I’ve been MIA this week on the ole blog here.
2. I have been very preoccupied with all the house stuff I mentioned last week and also?
3. I’m just out of ideas as to what to write right now. I mean, I don’t exactly lead an exciting life you know.
4. Not that I want to. I rather like my drama free neck of the woods here. Well, mostly drama free. We won’t talk about IRL friend fiascoes anymore. Because I’m movin’ on, baby.
5. Anyhoo, so yeah, I’m a little uninspired lately and I figured a break from the blog and the blogging world might recharge me. I guess I should’ve warned you last week. But I honestly didn’t know how this week would turn out.
6. I can tell you how this week started out though. It started with Donut crying so hard in the nursery Sunday morning that she puked all over her new Easter dress.
7. Before I could even get pictures too.
8. Her beloved stuffed penguin, Hank*, took the brunt of the barf though. Mr. DIH had to give Hank a bath in the church bathroom sink.
9. And then we decided to sit in the cry room, but between the dress and Hank, we weren’t exactly, uh, the nicest smelling family. So we left. And Donut? Was all smiles.
10. Brat.
*Meet Hank:

We found a solution to coax him out of hiding: A helmet. Really, he needs a rain slicker but said a helmet will do for now. Donut has since apologized.

Oh and Donut is STILL obsessed with her necklace. And cell phone. Maybe she's texting Hank to apologize.

Baby puke is the best excuse for leaving church early to be first in line at Golden Corral. Don’t lie.

Haha! I think B prefers Luby’s. But I actually cooked this year. I know!
Ditto what Julie said!!!
And Hank? Pink is not your color.

Hank looks mortified, doesn’t he??
I think she just wanted an excuse to leave early. She’s a stinker.

I agree. On both points.
Oh poor Hank! I bet he did his space after that incident!

He was really traumatized after all that. Poor guy.
I know it isn’t funny because there is nothing funny about puke…but this is funny. Poor Hank. What did he do to anybody

I know, poor Hank, he took the fall like a good friend does. We all should have a Hank.
Hank does look a tad traumatized from the incident.
Easter is such a madhouse day at church, it was probably nice to be able to not have to do all of the extra conversation.

It really was a madhouse and I almost sensed the nursery workers were relieved when we came to get her.
Oh, poor Hank. If it had been me, I would have probably thrown up also. Hank’s a tough old bird…. And he might deserve more than a text message apology
The necklace is hilarious- it’s almost as long as she is tall!!

I think at this point there isn’t much that really makes me gag, you know? Poop, barf, boogers. Same old, same old…
Donut sure is growing up! She is beyond adorable and beautiful. I love that age
Glad you’re back this week. I’m back too! Blogging breaks are good for the soul and the mind

Blogging breaks are very good. I should do them more often!
I love her little top in that last shot! She is so precious (despite the whole vomit thing, haha!).

Oh noooo. You are way more good natured about the puke than I am. As is Hank.

Love the penguin! And ppl should totally be linking up with you. Lots did at first. What’s up with the drop-off?

Poor Hank! Sounds tough for everybody. My kids always did the explosive poop instead of the vomit route….
On a side note, as a public service announcement
do you have a spare Hank? Have you looked for one? (this is coming from a mom who’s daughter adopted a dollar store kitty… That poor stuffed animal has been patched and resown more times then I would like to count… She at five is even MORE attached to it then when she was 1!)

Poor Donut! Love the pics at the end. So funny! Hank seems like quite the trooper.

Oh, do I know about upset babies and puking. My little one has a tendency to throw up when she gets too upset. It’s the weirdest thing. It hasn’t happened in a while and for that I’m grateful. Love the last picture… she’s so cute.

Poor Hank. At least he looks nice in that helmet.

Alex cried for the first four months of church nursery- never did puke though. Sorry
